The A/E knob is located on the top of your arm cord drum. If this knob keeps loosening most likely the A/E bearing is worn out or your knob has a hair line crack in it. This knob will only fit the original USA made skiers that were produced from 1976 to 1998. Flip the knob upside down and inspect where the metal thread is pressed into it if you see a crack you should replace your A/E knob.

This knob will not fit any ICON skier which was made after 1999.
